Railway Police, presented the first summer budget

Over half a million identified, more than 200 arrested and 1.900 under investigation: this is the first summer budget of the activity of the State Police in railway stations

543.250 identified, 201 arrested and 1.933 under investigation. 8,6 kg of narcotic substance seized between cocaine, heroin and hashish: this is the balance sheet of the Railway Police checks from 1 June to 20 August.

45.251 patrols engaged in the stations, 2.222 escort services on board the train, for a total of 4.823 escorted trains. 2.782 anti-pocketing services, 1.527 high fines, 767 foreigners tracked down in an irregular position and 230 unaccompanied minors tracked down by the staff of the Specialty and returned to their families or placed in the community.

The counter-exodus saw an increase in prevention and surveillance activities in stations and on board trains, so much so that there was a decline in the main criminal phenomena. Despite the full recovery of railway traffic since June, the number of thefts to the detriment of travelers has more than halved. Events at the station have suffered a 64% drop and on board the train by 51%.
