The Report on the trend of tax and contribution revenues in the period January-May 2021, drawn up jointly by the Department of Finance and the Department of General Accounting, is available on the websites www.finanze.gov.it and www.rgs.mef.gov.it of the State pursuant to art. 14, paragraph 5 of the accounting and public finance law (law no. 31 of 2009 December 196).
REVENUE JANUARY-MAY 2021
Tax and social security revenues in the first five months of the year show an overall growth of 9,2% (+22.611 million euros) compared to the same period of 2020. The figure takes into account the positive change of 11,0, 16.877% (+6,3 million euros) of tax revenues and an increase in tax revenues of 5.734% (+XNUMX million euros).
The amount of tax revenues also includes the main taxes of local authorities and corrective items, therefore it integrates the figure already released with the note of last July 5.
The comparison between the result of the first five months of 2021 and that of the corresponding period of the previous year presents elements of inhomogeneity that reflect the effects of the measures adopted by the Government to deal with the health emergency and which include suspensions, reductions or recovery of payments for different types of taxes.
The report of international tax revenues for the month of May 2021 is also available on the website of the Finance Department, which provides an analysis of the trend in tax revenues for the main European countries, based on the information disseminated with the "monthly bulletins" of France, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Spain.
