The disused toys of our children will not end up in the unsorted waste container, but will be delivered by the Befana of the Red Cross of Caltanissetta in the hands of other Sicilian children.
Poste Italiane has supported this edition of “Ri-games @ mo”, bringing its contribution both in terms of distribution and logistics.
On the occasion of the Christmas initiative "Santa Claus Post Office", Poste Italiane, in fact, promoted the initiative at various schools on the island. 508 kg of used toys were delivered to one @ one who, after selecting, sanitizing and repackaging them. More than a thousand packages containing toys are entrusted to the Red Cross of Caltanissetta which will take care of "giving them back" on the day of the Befana.
From a psychological point of view, play has always been of great importance for children, because it represents the truest and most spontaneous expression of childhood, favoring the psychological development of the child. The Toys, with a view to reducing waste, recycling and reuse, all the games have been subjected to checks and those not suitable for donation to small natural recipients have been sent to the various recycling circuits (100 kg of paper, 50 kg of plastic packaging, 2 kg of batteries and 30 kg of non-usable toys).
