UniCredit joins CoatMio, the service designed by Eni gas and electricity with the contribution of Harley & Dikkinson and specialist partners, aimed at energy requalification and seismic safety of condominium buildings

UniCredit joins Eni gas and electricity and Harley & Dikkinson by joining CoatMio, the service aimed at energy requalification and seismic safety of condominium buildings, a potential market in Italy of approximately 10 billion (pa) for the next 11 years *.

The CoatMio service was designed by Eni gas and electricity, with the contribution of specialist partners from its energy services network and with Harley & Dikkinson, developer of the WikiBuilding platform, in compliance with the "eco-bonus" legislation (tax deductions up to 75 % of the amount of the work) and "sismabonus" (up to 85%) with the possibility of transferring the tax credit to third parties.

Presented on the occasion of the FuoriSalone in Milan, at the evening organized last 10 April by ENI gas and light at the Botanical Garden of Brera, the CappottoMio service is not limited to the thermal insulation of buildings to reduce thermal dispersion, but extends to energy adaptation of condominium thermal power plants with the possibility of using even in this case all the tax advantages provided by the ecobonus.

The condominium that intends to install CappottoMio will also be able to transfer to the Eni gas and light operating partner all the tax deductions obtainable, according to what established by the law, and to pay, even in an installment form, only the remaining amount to balance the total expenditure. The condominium can also obtain from the Bank the financing of the part exceeding the tax bonus with a loan of the maximum duration of 10 years in order to allow with the savings obtained the coverage of the costs.

“CoatMio is Eni's innovative and complete response to gas and light that meets all the needs of the condominium, both from a technical and financial point of view” commented Alberto Chiarini, CEO of Eni gas and light. "This service for the energy efficiency of buildings, the result of the strong collaboration between the various professionals of our company and our partners, fits perfectly into Eni's gas and light strategy which, from a simple gas and electricity supplier, is the goal of becoming more and more an energy advisor, a consultant who can accompany the customer to make a more rational and efficient use of energy, to use it less and better ".

"UniCredit is proud to participate in this initiative and to support the energy and structural renovation of buildings" said Remo Taricani, UniCredit Co-CEO Commercial Banking Italy. - "The joint commitment of UniCredit, Eni gas and electricity with the contribution of Harley & Dikkinson represents an important opportunity for the enhancement of the country's real estate assets with quality and financially accessible interventions, and is a concrete answer for families and businesses that will benefit from a 360 ° offer able to guarantee maximum savings for the condominium and to meet the liquidity needs of companies "

In detail, the offer of UniCredit aims to strengthen this initiative, going to finance the excess part of the amount to be supported. In fact, UniCredit provides three product lines capable of satisfying the needs of condominiums and businesses for 360:

  • Mortgages for condominiums belonging to the CappottoMio Service;
  • Provision of bridging loans to the companies that carry out the works, from the period of realization to the collection of the credit towards Eni gas and electricity.
  • Acquisition of the financial credit by UniCredit Factoring, deriving from the sale of the tax credit between companies that carry out the works and Eni gas and electricity;

The UniCredit offer is able to support the condominiums belonging to CappottoMio through the financing of the part exceeding the tax bonus with loans for 5 or 10 years. Companies, on the other hand, can be financed throughout the entire construction period and collect the present value of the receivable from Eni for gas and electricity in a single tranche, instead of waiting for 5 or 10 years.

Finally Alessandro Ponti, Chief Executive Officer of Harley & Dikkinson says - "WikiBuilding is the first platform made available for the management of the entire transfer process that offers technical-financial and consultancy support to certified companies and professionals with the aim of promoting a system quality green, based on transparency rules and on the autonomy of each actor. I am pleased that this quality system is supported by two such important players as UniCredit and Eni gas and electricity. "
