The Rovigo State Police, last Friday 14, arrested two Albanian citizens and a Moldovan woman, seizing almost half a quintal of cocaine and over 400.000 euros.
As part of a service aimed at the prevention and repression of drug offenses, personnel of the Flying Squad, in the early afternoon, while paying attention to the provincial areas most affected by this criminal phenomenon, noticed a car, whose presence in that Province, at the outcome of the immediate investigations carried out, immediately aroused suspicion.
An observation and shadowing service was therefore started which made it possible to verify how the vehicle in question was traveling to Bosaro (RO), in an area known to the police. The car also carried out a series of maneuvers that raised the suspicions of the investigators who, given the presence of the driver and another man who was waiting near a garage, decided to intervene.
Two wrappers were found immediately, each containing over a kilo of cocaine, as well as a small amount of marijuana and a machine for making "vacuum" packs.
A hidden compartment containing over 17000 euros was also identified inside the car.
Considering the profile of the subjects, their organization and the shrewdness with which they had moved in the activity of transferring large quantities of drugs, the police considered it appropriate to search their homes.
In order to avoid any pollution of the sources of evidence, after having learned where the car driver's home was, it was decided to alert the Mobile Squad of the Reggio Emilia Police Headquarters, province of residence of the transferor.
In the house, which at this point turned out to be a probable inter-regional "hub" of cocaine, a further 39 cocaine loaves were found and seized, for a total gross weight of over 43 kilograms, as well as cash in banknotes of various denominations, for the total sum of 390.000 euros.
In light of the elements collected, which suggest a probable involvement of the subjects in a millionaire cocaine dealing round, the policemen of the Rovigo Mobile Squad have arrested in flagrant, for drug dealing, the two subjects identified in Bosaro , as well as, in collaboration with those of Reggio Emilia, the partner of one of them, a Moldovan citizen residing in that province, who had full availability of a considerable quantity of cocaine.
Once the formalities were completed, the three arrested were sent to prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
