On Saturday evening, in Valmontone, at around 18.00 pm, unknown persons perpetrated the theft of a lorry owned by the Municipality, then leaving towards Tollgate A/1.
The Carabinieri from the Valmontone station intervened on site and carried out an inspection and collected elements for the searches.
The synergy between the police forces present daily in the area made it possible to find the vehicle and the stolen goods (construction tools) in Fabbro (TR). In particular, during the evening, on the instructions of the military, the personnel of the Orvieto Road Police Subsection intercepted the lorry on the motorway axis - at Fabbro height - with the entire stolen goods abandoned by two individuals who had fled.
An intense investigation, image acquisition and technical survey activity is underway by the Carabinieri and the Orvieto Traffic Police to trace the identity of the perpetrators which will be coordinated by the Velletri and Terni Prosecutor's Offices.
