Russia, three Asians arrested for planning terrorist attack in Stavropol

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has captured three individuals from Central Asia, accused of planning a terrorist attack in Stavropol, a city in southwestern Russia.

According to what was reported by the state agency Ria Novosti, Russian authorities confiscated materials for the manufacture of explosives and chemical substances from the home of the three arrested.

“The terrorist activities of three citizens from one of the Central Asian countries were stopped by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, who had the intention to perpetrate a terrorist act through an explosion in one of the public gathering places in Stavropol”, the FSB said.

Based on these facts, the investigative department of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Stavropol Territory initiated a criminal case for terrorism. During the investigation at the house of the accused in Stavropol, materials for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices, chemical substances and destructive elements were found and confiscated.
