SACE SIMEST and Prima Sole Components: agreement to support 60 PMI in the automotive production chain

SACE SIMEST, the Export and Internationalization of the CDP Group, and Prima Sole Components, a leading company in the field of components for automotive, sign an agreement in support of 60 SME suppliers of the Lazio industrial group.

As part of the agreement, the companies supplying Prima Sole Components will be able to strengthen their liquidity through the advance payment of the supplies made, obtain the necessary guarantees for the execution of new supply contracts in Italy and abroad, protect their own turnover from the risk of non-payment and recover outstanding claims worldwide. Moreover, through SACE SIMEST, they will have at their disposal an important range of solutions to grow and consolidate on international markets: from SIMEST low-interest loans to guarantees offered by SACE to support internationalization.

"We enthusiastically joined the initiative proposed by SACE SIMEST - stated Maurizio Stirpe, Chairman of the Prima Group - as our policy has always been based on the support and close cooperation with our suppliers. The supply chain agreement in my opinion can be the maximum expression of our Group's modus operandi towards our partner suppliers; opening the doors to a new vision of interrelations in the world of subcontracting ».

«This agreement confirms our commitment to supporting a sector, like that ofautomotive, which proved capable of doing very well on international markets - declared Alessandro Decio, SACE's CEO. In fact, in the 2017, the sector has reached the 24 billion of exports and, according to our forecasts, it is destined to grow in the next three years. Behind these successes there are also the many companies that make up the production chain and which represent a quality entrepreneur that must be supported. SACE and SIMEST are ready to support these companies in their everyday operations but also in the great challenge of international markets ».

The agreement signed today strengthens a long-term partnership with the export and internationalization hub that has supported the Prima Sole Group's decisive internationalization strategy on several occasions. SACE - in addition to having approved a line of reverse factoring of 10 million euros - guaranteed various credit lines dedicated to the penetration and supervision of foreign markets. Furthermore, SIMEST recently acquired a minority stake in Sole Components, promoting the Group's development in Brazil (following FCA) and Germany (following Daimler in the Truck segment).

The Prima Sole Group, controlled by the Stirpe family, has been active for about 40 years in the design, production and sale of plastic components, mainly destined for the sector automotive. Thanks to production plants in Italy and abroad, the Group today plays the role of global player for the reference segment, collaborating with the leading global car manufacturers and exporting half of its turnover.
