Among the many, the Detachment of the was particularly active 61 Wing of the Air Force of Lido Conchiglie which in recent days has been seen as the protagonist of a dual intervention in favor of citizens, external to the structure, in danger of life.

The news, also appeared in the newspapers of Southern Italy, tells not only of the intervention of one of the lifeguards on duty at the detachment, who rescued a bather who was about to drown, the intervention of Lieutenant Salvatore Sticchi, on duty at the 61 Stormo, and of Doctor Marco Vecchia, in service at the San Matteo hospital in Pavia, who, responding promptly to a request for help, rescued an elderly woman until the arrival of the 118 without the slightest delay.

The detachment directed by Maj. Fabrizio Moretti, assisted by the First Lieutenant Fernando Cimino, for decades now present at Lido Conchiglie, confirms, once again, the perfect integration with the territory and the ability to interact with the local civilian population.
