The elections of the collegiate bodies of the schools cannot be postponed. They are in fact an obligation envisaged by the regulations and are necessary to guarantee fully legitimate Bodies capable of producing equally legitimate resolutions. They are also essential for the democratic life of schools and for the active participation of families, students and students. This was underlined by the Ministry of Education, responding to the concerns expressed by some trade unions.

Without prejudice to the possibility of holding the meetings remotely, with reference to the possibility of electronic voting, the Ministry, in compliance with the principles that provide for the freedom and secrecy of the vote, specifies that this is certainly a perspective on which work, which however requires a prior thorough reflection on the evaluation and implementation of all forms of simplification and efficiency of the ordinary procedures of educational institutions.

The Ministry's objective is the modernization of the school system. A process that will also concern the voting for the collegiate bodies with the aim of trying, among other things, to broaden participation in voting. The ministerial administration is ready to confront and collaborate with the trade union organizations in view of next year, for the adoption of all those acts that can develop and improve the national education and training system.

In the meantime, for this year, the votes will be held in person in compliance with all the indications and health protocols.
