Yesterday afternoon, 5 Agosto, a crew of the 82 ° CSAR Center (Combat Search and Rescue - Search and Rescue) of the 15 ° Wing of the Air Force carried out the recovery of a woman suffering from very strong abdominal colics and in a state of dehydration at the "Zingaro" Oriented Natural Reserve, near San Vito Lo Capo (TP).

The crew, alerted by an HH-139A helicopter, received the mission order from the Operations Room of the Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) in Poggio Renatico (FE) to the 17.45 and took off at 18: local 05 for reach the Reserve. The helicopter arrived in the area at 18: 15 and, having identified the recovery area set up by the CNSAS Sicilia operators (National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps), carried out the recovery of the thirty-seven year old by means of a winch.

Once on board and safely, the woman was transported to the Castellammare del Golfo (TP) stadium where she landed at 18: 30 and was left in the care of 118 for subsequent hospitalization. At the 18: 50 the helicopter returned to Trapani Birgi, resuming its normal national SAR readiness.

The 82 ° Center is one of the Departments of the 15 ° Stormo of the Air Force that guarantees, 24 hours on 24, 365 days a year, without interruption, the search and rescue of the crews in flight in difficulty, competing, in addition, to public utility activities such as the search for missing at sea or in the mountains, the emergency medical transport of patients in danger of life and the rescue of serious traumatized, operating in any meteorological condition.
