The black list of the powerful neighbors of Putin is expanding

Boris Johnson confirms the UK's firm stance towards Moscow shown since its first visit to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

In fact, the British government has further expanded the black list of people affected by anti-Russian sanctions following the war in Moscow in Ukraine: from today the freezing of any material or intangible entity susceptible to economic evaluation traceable in the United Kingdom and the travel ban in the US they also concern the oligarch by Vladimir Potan, historical nickel magnate since the time of Boris Ieltsin, referred to as the second richest man in Russia, and Anna Tsivileva, "Cousin of Vladimir Putin" and president of the mining company JSC Kolmar Group.

Furthermore, London announces new sanctions as well against individuals and companies involved "in supporting the Assad regime in Syria".

On the Italian side, Mario Draghi, after the entry of Finland and Sweden into NATO, speaking at the NATO summit in Madrid, underlines the importance of the security of the two countries.

"The security of Finland and Sweden must not be jeopardized in any way. Italy affirms its determination to contribute as of now, in close consultation with Finland and Sweden and in the most appropriate ways, to their security and defense needs. In this regard, it confirms the validity of the existing commitments in the European context, including Article 42.7 of the Treaty establishing the European Union".
