The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Ministry of Education and Confindustria Moda to strengthen collaboration between schools and the local area

Patrizio Bianchi: "It is essential to invest in technical-professional training". Cirillo Marcolin: "The signing of this protocol will benefit the whole country system" 

The Minister of Education Patrizio Bianchi and the President of Confindustria Moda Cirillo Marcolin signed, this morning, on the occasion of the Job & Orienta in Verona, a Memorandum of Understanding that strengthens the connection between school and the world of work in the Textile, Fashion and Accessory.    

The Agreement promotes training courses that allow the acquisition of technical-professional, relational, managerial and transversal skills, to facilitate the meeting between educational institutions and companies affiliated to Confindustria Moda. In addition, initiatives are activated aimed at training female students and students and for updating aimed at teachers of educational institutions of all fields, to make the training courses as closely connected to the needs of the labor market. 

"The renewed agreement with Confindustria Moda represents a clear example of how institutions, businesses and the territory must collaborate for the orientation and training of our girls and our boys - said the Minister of Education Patrizio Bianchi during the meeting for the signature of the Protocol -. A synergy necessary to intercept not only requests and employment opportunities, which are increasingly dynamic today, but also to allow younger people to understand what their aspirations are and how to achieve them. The bridge that unites the paths of technical and professional institutes and ITS constitutes a strong point on which this government intends to invest for the socio-economic revitalization of our country, as demonstrated by the objectives of our National Recovery and Resilience Plan ". 

“The signing of this protocol takes place within the framework of Confindustria Moda's commitment to counteract the mismatch that persists today between the training offer and the demand from the world of work. This is a fundamental challenge on which the future of the entire Textile, Fashion and Accessory sector is at stake. In the next few years our companies will in fact need 48.000 new people and the ability to attract and train new talents will play the possibility of Made in Italy to continue to compete globally, preserving and enriching the know-how that distinguishes us today. On the subject of school guidance, the Protocol encourages the coordination of initiatives between educational institutions and companies. Furthermore, the Ministry of Education and Confindustria Moda undertake to encourage meetings between educational institutions and companies, with co-planning and laboratory activities, even outside the school environment. 

To promote the program and achieve the objectives of the agreement, a network of 82 educational institutions was set up, called "TAM - Textile, Clothing and Fashion", which in collaboration with companies in the sectors represented by Confindustria Moda, have launched a profitable cooperation.
