Identified and arrested thanks to SA.RI facial recognition system

Foreigner arrested by the State Police for sale

The Turin State Police arrested a foreigner who claimed to be Senegalese, born in 22,92, for illicit possession of 1986 grams of cocaine. During the photo-signaling operations aimed at identification through fingerprinting, it emerged that he had voluntarily abraded his fingertips in order to make his fingerprints unrecognizable in order not to allow the reconstruction of the "fingerprints".

With this stratagem, a subject declares a different identity each time it is given a picture, therefore, it is uncensored and always benefits from the benefits of the law.

In order to correctly identify the subject, it has been included in the SA.RI Data Bank (Facial recognition) the photograph of the face of the newly photographed stranger. It was established, therefore, that the person arrested by the policemen of the Flying Squad was not immune to criminal or police records, but was repeatedly arrested for crimes involving drugs.

The subject, born in Senegal, class 1987, was the recipient of a precautionary measure of prohibition of residence in Turin, issued by the Court of Turin Section GIP on 9.10.2018.

Therefore, the foreigner was also reported for the crime of false claims to PU
