ANA alarm cry addressed to the mayors of the provinces of Latina and Frosinone

The snowfalls of the last days, the sharp drop in temperatures, the abundant rains and finally the icy wind have come down in recent weeks on all the markets of the provinces of Latina and Frosinone, bringing an entire category to its knees.
Many operators, in order not to risk the management costs with unnecessary costs of movement, etc. they even renounced their activity in markets of great commercial appeal such as those of Fondi, Cassino, Latina, Formia or Frosinone.
From the beginning of the year, on about 59 days of markets, the operators have been able to exercise their activity only in 20 / 25 days, that is about more than 60% less than their possibilities, decreasing their revenues by over 70%.
From the point of view of consumers, bad weather conditions have led most of the usual patrons to stay at home. This has meant that some markets usually very popular - especially for the purchase of basic necessities: food, fruit, vegetables, vegetables, etc. - they appeared almost deserted.
It was enough to take a ride in the weekly market of Fondi on the last Sunday to realize it.
The heavy snowfalls of recent days have even led some administrations, such as that of Sora, to take measures to suspend the market.
Faced with such a dramatic and disturbing situation, the Presidents and Provincial Secretaries of the ANA of Latina and Frosinone (Abdel Wahaba Ashraf, Andrea Concetti, Mirko Domenicone and Massimo Fabrizi) address a heartfelt appeal to the Municipal Administrations to realize the problematic and the serious crisis that has hit this sector and do not pretend anything.
What we specifically ask for is the revision of the costs charged as the fees of the Canons and of the Garbage are calculated on parameters that are now completely skipped. You can not expect an operator to pay a parking fee that for extraordinary meteorological reasons was impossible to attend. Fees, taxes and fees must be commensurate with the actual days of employment. And the street vendors, who offer a service to consumers with low middle income brackets, can not withstand a tax burden of the Municipalities that does not take into account such situations. These costs, if not reduced, inevitably discharge to consumers with increases that could certainly be avoided.
The ANA will be the spokesman of these needs also in the national sphere with the new government, but in the meantime the Mayors of the Provinces of Latina and Frosinone give a signal of concrete attention.
