The Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between the Ministry of Education and the trade union organizations for the safe and attendance of the state final exams of lower and upper secondary school for the school year 2020/2021.

The measures envisaged in the 2019-2020 Memorandum of Understanding and the attached Technical Scientific Document are substantially confirmed. For example, it will be necessary to keep a distance of two meters between the candidate and the commission, female students and students may have only one companion, you will have to wear a mask.

In particular, with the document signed today, it is specified that the type of masks to be adopted must be of the surgical type. Therefore, according to the opinion expressed also by the Technical Scientific Committee, community masks cannot be used and it is not recommended for students to use the FFP2 masks for a long time.

It is allowed to carry out the tests of the State Exam or the work of the Examination Commission in videoconference mode, according to specific cases indicated in the Protocol.

It is allowed, for the final State examination of the first and second cycle of education, to carry out the plenary meetings of the Examination Commissions remotely, in cases where the epidemiological conditions and the provisions of the competent authorities so require.

To ensure the regular execution of the State Exams, the educational institutions use the financial resources assigned by the Ministry for the management and organization of the school service in the emergency period.
