Syndial changes its name and becomes Eni Rewind

Eni Rewind is born today, the new name of Syndial, Eni's environmental company. The new name is the acronym of Remediation & Waste Into Development, that is, reclamation, waste and water management as development opportunities, and means "rewinding time", because making environmental resources reusable and re-exploiting is the main objective remediation projects, but also new technologies for the development of the circular economy.

In the 2003 Enichem, conferred the productive activities to the then Polimeri Europa, it was renamed Syndial with the mandate to manage the demolitions of the plants and the reclamation of the sites, largely "inherited" in the years '80 and' 90 within plans industrial rescue of other companies, a period in which Eni was still a State body.

Today Eni Rewind deals with the reclamation of all the plants and plants of Eni in Italy, from upstream to refining, from chemicals to logistics and service stations, it manages the disposal and recovery of industrial waste and from the 2018 it is also active abroad. Eni Rewind's operational model focuses on the integration of skills, scientific research, the regeneration of recoverable resources and the constructive relationship with communities. The company manages environmental costs for over 800 million per year, with more than 200 construction sites and over 1000 people.

From 2018, Eni Rewind is committed to enhancing organic waste with important investment projects that will enable Eni's proprietary technology to be applied on a large scale to transform FORSU into energy and water.
