Shoplifting at Valmontone Outlet, 20-Year-Old Arrested

The Carabinieri of the Valmontone Station arrested a 20-year-old, seriously suspected of aggravated theft of clothing inside a business located in the Valmontone Outlet.

According to the complaint of the owner of the commercial establishment, the woman, who came from the province of Latina, went inside the store with a shielded bag, taking some items of clothing displayed on the shelves. After having removed the tags with the anti-shoplifting devices, she left the business, eluding the control of the anti-shoplifting system. This operation did not escape the attention of the security personnel of the Outlet, who alerted the Carabinieri of the Valmontone Station.

After a few minutes the military intervened and stopped the woman who, following a personal search, allowed them to recover the entire stolen goods, with a total value of 350 euros, and return them to the rightful owner. The shielded bag used to carry out the theft was seized.

The 20-year-old was arrested red-handed for aggravated theft, which was validated by the Velletri Court, which then ordered the precautionary measure of having to report to the police station every day.

It is important to point out that, given the state of the proceedings, the accused must be considered innocent until a final sentence is reached.

The operation by the Carabinieri of the Colleferro Company is part of a broader prevention plan aimed at combating the phenomenon of thefts in commercial activities, with the help of security personnel.
