Being Spartan for a day and being able to remember it forever. Who has already participated in the The Marathon of the Spartans, the race of Mtb scheduled in Taranto, knows well the particular effect that the event has on those who travel those paths, the same ones that in ancient times the inhabitants of the multifaceted city of ancient Greece followed to settle on the Apulian coasts and populate the historic city of Taras. A route that rewards everyone by offering the possibility of being able to cycle through history and above all remember the experience for a long time.
The race, to his seventh edition, provides for a route of 36 km. Go through it just once, for the Granfondo ranking, or twice, for the Marathon. A journey with the sea always close by which blends with the bright and unique colors of one of the most beautiful regions in Italy, our Puglia.
Organization and registrations
Free parking, abundant supplies throughout the route and at the end of the sporting competition a characteristic "pasta party" to socialize and comment on your adventure together.
Le race registrations, valid for the circuit Bicinpuglia/Basilicata and for the Uisp National Marathon Criterium, there are already numerous but there is still room to join, the amateur sports association MTB writes on its website.
The cost for registration is only 30 euros. The appointment for everyone is atPaul VI Hippodrome, for the start at 9:30 for the Marathon and at 9:45 for the Granfondo.
