Taranto: three arrests for crimes of sexual violence against minors

The State Police of Taranto has executed 3 precautionary measures in jail against two men and a woman from the province of Taranto, believed to be suspected of the crimes of sexual violence continued in competition with the aggravating circumstance of having committed the crime against children of years 10.

The activity of the agents of the Flying Squad was triggered by some reports received to the AG in the summer 2018 by the social services of a town in the province of Taranto about some alleged sexual abuse suffered by two minors by the mother, of the current companion of the same and of another person.

These circumstances were learned through the confidences received by the two minors, following their placement in a family home, which had already reported that the same fate had also happened to the other two brothers, now twelve and six years old.

The investigation, which included among other things the protected listening of minors, with the contribution of a consultant expert in child psychology, allowed the police to ascertain the abuses suffered by all four minors, the smallest of the which, at the time of the facts, of just three years.

The crimes were consumed in the family home and sometimes in the country house of the other person investigated.

The couple is also challenged the crime of mistreatment, having forced the children in a context of absolute degradation, leaving them inside the house, preventing them from attending compulsory school, beating them, not ensuring their daily nutrition and minimum personal hygiene.

The timely action of the Public Prosecutor's Office and of the Gip of the Court of Taranto, in collaboration with the Court for the Minors of Taranto, has allowed to prevent the prolongation of the crimes already committed against the four victims, as well as the concrete possibility that the same behaviors could see victims other minors.
