What will tourism look like after Covid-19? This is the main topic of the virtual conference organized by the Bachelor of Tourism and enhancement of the territory of the European University of Rome.

A Webinar, that of UER, the first of a cycle dedicated to tourism and inclusion, which aims to create a dialogue between the parties, to reflect on the future of tourism in Italy and in Europe. The meeting was moderated by the Deputy Director of TgLa7, Andrea Pancani, who opened the debate with a reflection "Today the whole country is starting again, but we still don't know if we will be able to go on vacation". With this in mind, the work of the first Webinar opens, which sees all the players in the tourism sector interact.

The first to speak was the Magnificent Rector Prof. Father Pedro Barrajón, LC who gave his greetings and said: “4-5 years ago we established the Degree in Tourism because we have always been aware of the primary role of the Tourism in our country; will and creativity are definitely the keywords to start from ". These are the words chosen by the Magnificent Rector who during the day was assisted by the Coordinator of the Degree Course in Tourism and Valorisation of the Territory, Professor Loredana Giani. The agreement was divided into two parts; the first section dealt with the issue of the uncertainty of post-Coronavirus Tourism rules and the following speakers were: Marcella Gola, full professor of Administrative Law at the University of Bologna, Ruggiero Dipace, full professor of Administrative Law at the University of Molise and Giovanna Iacovone, associate professor of Administrative Law, University of Basilicata. In the second section, the topic of sustainable development trajectories and new business models was discussed and the President of ENIT, Giorgio Palmucci, took part in the debate, emphasizing the support tools introduced by the National Tourism Agency: “ENIT has created a crisis management dashboard aimed at helping all entrepreneurs and associations to have a realistic picture of the tourism situation in Italy and Europe. We are also working synergistically with the regional councilors to create a communication campaign that enhances our territory ". Marina Lalli, President of Federturismo Confindustria, intervened and reiterated the need for a change in the sector's business models and said: "The two fundamental principles for achieving a renewal of the sector are human capital and the interaction between companies; we must therefore find new methods to make our country known and meet sustainability objectives. "

The event was attended by: Paolo Giuntarelli Regional Directorate for Education, Training and Research in the Lazio Region, Cristina Storti, Regional Tourism Agency in the Lazio Region, Barbara Casillo, Regional Director of the Italian Association of Confindustria Hotels, Valentina Castello, teacher of local tourism networks and systems and tourism marketing at the European University of Rome and, finally, Filippo Brunetti, lawyer. The conclusions of the conference were formulated by Professor Loredana Giani who said: "The debate on the keywords of the restarting of Tourism, shared with the actors of the system, also revealed the need for a unity of the rules, not in the sense of a subtraction of competences from the Regions, but in the sense of a univocal nature of the rules in favor of certainty. A shared definition of values ​​and objectives; elements on which the trust of citizens-consumers and businesses is based, essential for the tourism system, which plays a role of primary importance for the economy of the country ".
