The publication of a meme depicting an open kitchen oven with some banknotes inside and the words "trap for Jews" had aroused particular concern, so much so that it was the subject of numerous reports received by the Postal Police through the PS Online Commissariat.
The investigations, launched by the Postal and Communications Police Service in collaboration with the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police and the DIGOS of Latina, made it possible to ascertain how the post in question was posted by the user of the Twitter profile called "Cristian d 'Adam ”who, following investigative investigations, appeared very active on numerous social platforms, with various accounts present on VK.com, Facebook, Telegram, Linkedin, Pinterest, Twitch and Tublr.
In particular, the analysis carried out on the same Social profiles made it possible to find out how the investigated user had shared images that, frequently, portray him with his arm extended and raised to show the Roman salute, as well as with neo-Nazi and fascist symbols, as well as images who associate him with the ultra-far-right circles of the SS Lazio football supporters.
And again, in the course of the investigations, D'Adamo - formerly head of the Forza Nuova Section of Fondi (LT) - as a candidate for municipal councilor in the past elections of the municipality of Fondi (LT) in a civic list, emerged in several articles of the press which, taking up a report from the ANPI, highlighted the xenophobic, fascist, homophobic, anti-democratic, anti-constitutional and anti-Semitic aspects present on the same Twitter profile.
The investigative activities, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Latina, were also addressed to a further Internet user - resident in the same provincial capital - identified on the VK.com platform due to the presence in his account of numerous posts and images from which an explicit Nazi, anti-Semitic and xenophobic ideological orientation emerges.
The evidence acquired against the suspects, therefore, led to the execution of a personal, local and computer search decree, the outcome of which both confirmed that they were the authors of the posts under investigation.
Various computer devices were seized, on which further technical investigations will be carried out, as well as two card holders and plaques bearing the words Police.
The suspects were referred to the competent judicial authority for the crime of propaganda and incitement to crime for reasons of racial, ethnic and religious discrimination, pursuant to Article 604 bis of the Criminal Code.
