Tria announces her resignation, cold shower for Di Maio. Salvini, for now, spectator in the stands

(by Massimiliano D'Elia) The Italian Minister of Economy and Finance Giovanni Tria da Milano, on the occasion of the Bloomberg European Capital Markets Forum, wanted to confirm his line, namely that Italy will respect the European parameters (deficit around 6%) trying to make a move to combat poverty and the high level of taxes that have led to the contraction of public investments, putting Italy's future at risk.

Tria considers it necessary that public investments must increase from 30 to 45 billion euros per year to allow Italy to return to growth on a par with other European countries. Alternatively, Minister Tria made it clear that he would be ready to resign.

A cold shower for Di Maio, "no one has asked for the resignation of Minister Tria but I expect the Minister of Economy of a government of change to find the money for the Italians who are currently in great difficulty. Italians in difficulty can no longer wait, the state can no longer leave them alone and a serious minister must find the money".

The pentastellati are pushing to keep their electoral promises and at the moment they want to hit pensions over 4.500 euros per month and reduce the availability for the Regions that still do not cut the annuities of their former advisers. Too bad that the recovery of these resources is really "insufficient" for the M5S ambitions.

Di Maio also announced during the broadcast "Di martedì".

"We held a meeting with the League and next week we present a constitutional bill to cut 345 MPs".

The knot of citizenship income remains, since the impact on public accounts and the affected area is not known, assistance to the poor or the unemployed?

Tria proposes to touch the personal income tax, "the government is committed to reducing the tax burden and this goes far beyond the flat tax. We are at an advanced stage of a plan that simplifies personal income tax, reducing pressure on the middle class, with a manageable impact on the budget".

Tria reiterated that it is necessary to increase spending for those who lose their jobs and must be accompanied until a new job. “We have to provide protection schemes”. Again Tria, "the measures mentioned will not change our commitment to debt reduction". Nor is the commitment to "structural reforms", such as that of the reform of civil justice, which will however be marked by the growth of Italy. "The government has committed to a five-year term with a gradual implementation of the reforms." And, in compliance with European constraints, it is committed to a development path, taking into account the various social needs, which creates a solid basis for long-term growth ”.

Faced with reasonable measures by Minister Tria, the embarrassment of the M5S is evident, which finds itself in the middle between the reality of the laughable economic resources and the excessive power of the League which, day after day, is gnawing consensus even for the pentastellati. An ideal condition for Salvini, who placed the issue of migrants very dear to Italians at the basis of his government action and who it will probably be able to save the state about 5 billion euros a year. Salvini, for now, remains in the stands to enjoy the show.
