TGCOM has just broken the news: The body of Giulia Cecchettin has been found in Lake Bàrcis in the province of Pordenone. It was found in a canal near the lake. The car in which Filippo Turetta had fled was also found.
All of Italy has been worried about the fate of Giulia Cecchettin since she disappeared in the night between Saturday and last Sunday. After some details, captured by a closed-circuit camera of a commercial establishment, which show the attack on the young girl by her suspect, Filippo Turetta, the hopes of finding her alive have faded hour by hour. The efforts of the rescue teams who worked day and night to find some clues capable of putting an end to the terrible story were incessant. A few hours ago the body of a young girl linked to the poor and unfortunate Giulia Cecchettin was found.
The body was recovered in a gully located between the Barcis lake area and Piancavallo. In addition to Lake Barcis, the checks had been extended, also thanks to the use of a helicopter, also to the impervious secondary road that connects with the tourist resort of Piancavallo and along the entire regional road 251, up to the Vajont dam and on the border with Veneto.
