The 13 and 14 September will open in Ferrara the first National Meeting on Tourism. A real agora of Italian tourism, which will see the participation of all the players in the sector: Ministry, ENIT, Regions and local authorities, trade associations and professionals.
The event, promoted by Mipaaft, will be a two-day event full of debates, round tables and thematic sessions. The first real moment of confrontation between institutions and private individuals, an important project, destined to represent a real appointment in Italy to analyze and design political agenda and strategies, focusing on growth, quality, objectives, rules, promotion and marketing.
“I wanted to bring the whole world of tourism together. Overcoming the old concept of States-General and finally creating a moment of confrontation to network and create strategies to make Italian tourism increasingly competitive and attractive. The goal is to build an industrial tourism policy. We are working as a Ministry with the Regions, Enit and private individuals ”, says the Minister of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies, Sen. Gian Marco Centinaio. “The meeting in Ferrara will be a great meeting, in which all together we will collect ideas, proposals and ideas. The Italian System, the Italian brand I am talking about is this: a real team, made up of important interlocutors, who work together to make this sector grow, a driving force for our country ".
“An ecumenical tourist vision. Enit is also at heart to harmonize the sector in order to reach shared positions on tourism promotion tools, giving space to all the innovative ideas of the sector's protagonists. For this reason, specialized discussion tables with hundreds of stakeholders and sector experts have been planned with the Tourism Meeting. We will talk about the quality of services, regulations and systems regulation, accessible tourism and promotion and marketing ”, underlines the President of Enit, Giorgio Palmucci. “The last appointment dates back to 2016, and now Minister Centinaio's Mipaaft and the new Enit wanted to bring it back into vogue as a crucial event for the direction of the tourism industry. We will do this by animating the heart of the most evocative locations in Ferrara through itinerant meetings such as the Municipal Theater and the Estense Castle because good tourism cannot ignore territorial integration processes that create a structured global network of the offer ".

The event will be opened by the intervention of the Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte and the Minister of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies, Sen. Gian Marco Centinaio, who will also be entrusted with the conclusions of the Meeting. At the end of the two days, the “2019-2020 Operational Program” will be presented by the Mipaaft Tourism Department.
