Everything is ready for the Iranian attack, hopes hanging by a thread

By Massimiliano D'Elia

The die has now been cast, with the killing of the general in Syria by the Israelis Mohammad Reza Zahedi we are only waiting for the start of the military operations announced by Tehran, as a response to the serious affront.

A response that would be implemented with the launch of hundreds of missiles on Israeli territory from different locations and geographical positions, this is the hypothesis put forward by the American services. An eventuality that would trigger the ferocious reaction of Israel which, as is known, possesses nuclear weapons and exceptional launchers, its submarines are already on maximum alert, ready to fire the deadly arsenal on anyone who threatens the existence of their nation.

One can only hope that Iran, in recent times, has not managed to build its first nuclear weapon, given that the latest reports from Western intelligence and the IAEA reported that the ayatollahs were very close to completing the nuclear weapons process. uranium enrichment. Important help, in this sense, could have been provided by Russia, given the excellent relations in the field of exchanges of technology, raw materials and weapon systems (Iranian Shahed-class drones widely used in Ukraine by the Russian army).

In order not to expose itself, Iran could decide, this time too, not to go directly to war against Israel but to launch the offensive through the Shiite groups affiliated with it. Hezbollah with its arsenal of 150 thousand missiles it could flood the airspace of Tel Aviv, making the shots of the super missile defense system useless Iron Dome. The same situation could happen from Syria where the Pasdaran are present ready to provide assistance, training, weapons and drones to affiliated terrorist groups in the area.

The leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, reiterated from Beirut on Friday that Zahedi's death in Damascus, along with seven others in Tehran's embassy compound, will not go unpunished. They were allies, and together they had defined the strategy in Syria, supporting President Bashar Assad and maintaining military pressure on Israel.

The Pasdaran would have gathered in Base 8, the Judgment Day bunker, built to resist Israeli bombing. Before burying the general of the Quds force and taking refuge in the concrete meters of the bunker, the Chief of Staff Mohammed BagheriAccording to local media, he said: “It will launch at the right time, with the precision necessary to inflict maximum damage on the enemy”.

The Israeli army, meanwhile, has been placed on maximum alert: military licenses have been suspended, while 28 embassies around the world have been closed, including the one in Rome. The Americans have warned the Iranians to avoid hitting US bases in the region. In the next few days the situation could worsen inexorably, or ease spontaneously to avoid the worst. The news a few hours ago that the IDF has withdrawn from southern Gaza gives rise to hope, thus encouraging talks which are still being kept alive by Egypt, Qatar and the United States. The negotiations underway in Cairo envisage, in fact, a possible truce at the end of Ramadan. A first sign of détente that could make Tehran desist from venturing into a war that would seriously affect its already weak economy, gripped for years by heavy American sanctions.
