Valmontone Outlet: stolen goods hidden in strollers, arrested by the Carabinieri

The Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Colleferro arrested two Moldovan men, a 43-year-old resident in Rome with a police record and a 35-year-old with a clean record and homeless, caught stealing from the shops inside the “Valmontone Outlet” together with a 34-year-old compatriot.

The criminals, taking advantage of the considerable influx of patrons looking for the purchase of the "designer" garment on the occasion of the Immaculate Conception, went into action by cleaning up three clothing stores.

The Carabinieri of the Valmontone station, thanks to the control services provided and the fruitful collaboration with the surveillance staff of the outlet combined with the timely reporting of the managers of the commercial establishments concerned, intercepted the thieves and discovered the technique of concealing the goods. After removing the clothing by detaching the attached label, they hid it in the stroller of their five-year-old son, continuing their afternoon of "shopping" undeterred.

The recovered goods, for a total value of 500 euros, were entirely returned to the shop managers.

All three will have to answer for aggravated theft in competition. The men were handcuffed and restrained at the Company's security rooms. At the outcome of the judgment before the Court of Velletri, the activity was validated pending final judgment.
