Busted group of minors specializing in theft in luxury homes

The Genoa State Police, at the end of a vast investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court, carried out an order of custody in jail against 4 underage young women of Roma ethnicity, for home burglaries.

The survey, conducted by policemen of the Flying Squad, allowed to identify a group composed of minors between the 14 and 17 years, who last summer, in just over two months, robbed about 12 Genoese houses, plundering every kind of precious found inside the houses, in particular fine watches and jewelry.

The well-tested and organized group, after having carried out inspections useful for planning the shots, entered the houses with particular skill, using various techniques.

The subjects ranged from the classic forcing of the front door to the use of techniques that allowed entry without leaving signs of forced entry and after each stroke they lost their traces disappearing in the north and central Italy.

The identification of one of them took place in Genoa where two days ago she arrived with her partner and a young relative. The 3 were located in a house near the Old Port where they had probably laid the foundations for the commission of new crimes, in fact at the time of the check they were surprised with numerous burglary tools.

The man already known to the Police Forces and already in another occasion checked in the Tigullio was equipped with a road record with prohibition to return to Genoa.

Research is still underway to identify the other members of the group.
