Venezuela: Violence and clashes also during the referendum

According to Carlos Carlos Ocariz, leader of the Venezuelan government's opposition, two people would be killed and at least four were seriously injured following a "paramilitary" attack at the Caracas polling stations.

Speaking to the press, Ocariz said that the paramilitaries entered the seat "in the midst of a disorder, they were armed" and  Asked the PM to open an investigation to clarify the dynamics and find the perpetrators of the serious incident. Shortly before, the Caracas Parliament had denounced a situation of irregularity in Catia's seats.

The referendum in Venezuela is aimed at casting black president Maduro and has been presented by the opposition as an act of "civil disobedience" against the Head of State by the anti-chavist coalition gathered in the Mud, the Democratic Unity.
