The Vibo Valentia State Police is executing an order of custody in jail against 4 subjects, held responsible for the attempted murder of Francesco MANCUSO and the murder of Raffaele FIAMINGO, which took place in Spilinga in July 2003, and considered at the top of the 'ndrangheta vibonese.
Almost 50 men are performing arrests and searches in Vibo Valentia, Milan and Prato.
The investigation activities, carried out by the policemen of the Mobile Squads of Vibo Valentia and Catanzaro, coordinated by the Central Operational Service and also supported by statements made by collaborators of justice, made it possible to ascertain that the murder had accrued due to conflicts that arose in the management of criminal activities among the members of the MANCUSO family - in particular the faction headed by Ciccio MANCUSO, alias Tabacco, and the one led by Cosmo MANCUSO, alias Michele.
The details of the operation will be announced during the press conference to be held at 11.00 at the Vibo Valentia police station in the presence of the Chief Prosecutor of Catanzaro dott. Nicola Gratteri.
