Companies Today meets Minturno Mayor for problematic weekly market

A meeting between the Association TODAY with the Mayor of Minturno, Gerardo Stefanelli, and the Councilor for Production Activities, Elisa Venturo, met yesterday in the Municipality of Minturno.

The Secretary General of the Association, Marrigo Rosato, was accompanied by Salvatore Cocomello, Mirko Domenicone, Massimo Bartolomei and Mario Macera, all operators in the weekly market that takes place on Wednesday at the Piazzale della ex Sieci.

Numerous problems encountered during the meeting: market upgrading; the need to resign the seats occupied by spunters; the struggle against commercial abusiveism.

Among these is the need to preserve the current market structure and its unity among food and non-food merchandise sectors, enabling it to be able to best satisfy the users.

Today, the Association has numerous companies associated with the market and has therefore been made available to deal with the municipal administration any solution hypothesis that could further boost the role of the market in Minturno's business fabric.

In this regard, Mayor Stefanelli reassured the Association of Companies Today that any decision that will be taken by the Municipal Administration will be previously shared with the Association of Category.

The Secretary General of Companies Today took the opportunity to thank the Minturno Municipal Administration for its responsible attitude to the Bolkestein Directive, as it did not publish the Application Laws of the Directive, as requested by other Associations .

In this regard, the Municipality of Minturno and the Association of Enterprises Today have shared the main objective of safeguarding the future and the work of pedestrians that the Bolkestein Directive put at risk and on which the Government is examining some hypothesis of final solution after the suspension of concessions that were extended to 31.12.2018.
