Afghanistan, 100 people held hostage by the Taliban

According to reports by Mohammad Yusouf Ayubi, head of the provincial council of the province of Kunduz, a group of Taliban have taken more than 100 people hostage in an embassy in the north of Afghanistan.

Ayubi said that the insurgents blocked three buses that traveled along a road near the Khan Abad district to Kabul and took all the passengers including women and children hostage.

According to Mohammad Yusouf Ayubi, the Taliban were looking for civil servants or security forces bound for Kabul.
