Israel destroyed the house of the Palestinian who mortally wounded Yotam Ovadia

Israel destroyed the home of a Palestinian who killed an Israeli in a West Bank settlement occupied last month in the night between yesterday and today. An army communiqué announced it. “The house of terrorist Mohammad Tarek Ibrahim, in the village of Koba, north of Ramallah, was destroyed in connection with the attack he committed on Adam on July 26th.

The Palestinian 17enne Mohammad Tareq Yousef entered the knife-clad colony, wounding three passersby, two of them seriously, before being killed. One of the wounded, 31enne Yotam Ovadia, died in the night because of serious injuries.

Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Twitter that he had kept his promise to the widow and parents of Yotam Ovadia, the victim of the attack, to "destroy the terrorist's home as soon as possible."

Israel also authorized building plans for over a thousand settler housing in the occupied West Bank last August 22. Among them, 370 are in Adam's colony.

As promised just hours after the attack on July 26, Avigdor Lieberman, Israel's defense minister, announced the construction of 400 new homes for settlers in the West Bank. According to Lieberman, "the best response to terrorism is the strengthening of settlements".
