Pakistan: at least 25 dead and over 30 injured by the explosion of a bomb in an open market

According to reports from local police and hospital facilities, at least 25 dead and 30 injured were the death toll of the victims involved in the explosion of a bomb in an open market in northwest Pakistan.

According to the first reports, the attack was carried out in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the border with Afghanistan, at a time when the bazaar was full of people. A police source said most of the victims were from the Shia minority.

The bomb was detonated in a food market that in recent years has repeatedly been the scene of attacks by Sunni extremists against the Shiite minority.

After the assault, the authorities alerted all the hospitals in the region, because the number of victims is likely to increase.

Another attack was carried out in the southern part of the country where a commando of three terrorists attempted a raid on the Chinese consulate in Karachi, killing two policemen, before being killed in turn by the military guarding the consulate.
