Zingaretti, your danger is at home

Zingaretti from the Ravenna stage: "Believe me, these faces, those volunteers in kitchens ranging from 15 to 90 years, this generous humanity is our platform. "

(by Massimiliano D'Elia) Nicola Zingaretti with the wit of Matteo Renzi (I would say Renzi's cynicism) brought the party to the government. No one would have bet on such a scenario after the results of last March's policies. Yet it happened and now the Democratic Party has pigeonholed all its representatives in the network of dicasteries. A kind of checkmate. This morning the vote of confidence in the Chamber of Deputies and tomorrow in the Senate of the Republic. Some slight dangers for the majority could be in the Senate where for a handful of votes everything could be blown. While today confidence will be voted in the Chamber, Giorgia Meloni, leader of the Brothers of Italy, has invited all the Italians (without political color) against the yellow-red government to Piazza Montecitorio. There will be no party flags but only tricolors. Giorgia Meloni convinced Matteo Salvini's League to take to the streets today, while those from Forza Italia did not accept the invitation, saying that the real opposition is in Parliament.

Returning to the Democratic Party, Zingaretti from Ravenna appears enthusiastic yesterday: "Finally we did it. We fought together. We make no mistakes of the past. Now in this new time we must try to change everything. The Democratic Party is the protagonist of a new single season of research, open to society".

It is a pity that Zingaretti's enthusiasm can be undermined in the coming months by Matteo Renzi who cannot stay on the margins of the political scene.

The occasion is the tenth edition of the Leopolda - from 18 to 20 October -, where it will come announced the birth of Renzian groups in Parliament.

The only group, however, that can be formed is in the House because the regulation prevents it in the Senate. Renzi, therefore, would pass with his senators to the mixed group. Renziano Andrea Marcucci would remain leader of the Pd group in the Senate, precisely to control the rest of the Pd senators.

In Montecitorio, writes the Time, the deputies of the “Always ahead” motion could leave the Pd group: leaders Giachetti and Ascani, and then Nobili, Ferri, Anzaldi. Perhaps the farewell of Maria Elena Boschi, while it is certain that Bellanova would have a "leading role" in this "adventure" (just today Renzi tweeted in a sibilant way "Proud of Teresa, of the road we have done together and what we will still do ") and Marattin.

Matteo Renzi's strategy, in the formation of these two new entities, is to create a new force with which to be able to negotiate in the two Houses of Parliament, Palazzo Chigi and Zingaretti warned!
