🎤FCA: comment on the Group's sales results in the European car market

In April in Europe, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles increases the registrations of 2,3 percent with a share of 6,8 percent. Once again excellent results for Jeep (which in the month increases the sales of 75 percent and quarter of the 58 percent) with Renegade and Compass protagonists in their categories. Alfa Romeo also grew, increasing sales of the 6,3 percent in April and of the 13,2 percent in the annual total: Stelvio (which confirms the leadership in its segment in Italy) and Giulia are the models that drive the growth of the brand. Fiat 500 is the best-selling car in the A segment and compared to a year ago it increased the registrations of the 6,7 percent. Behind it the Panda, while 500X and 500L are once again in the top positions of their segments

In the Europe of 28 plus the EFTA member nations Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in April registered 91.300 cars, the 2,3 percent more than a year ago, for a share of 6,8 percent.

In the first four months of the 2018 FCA records 381.600 cars, equal to the 6,8 per cent share.

In April, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles achieved positive results in France (+ 27,3 per cent sales compared to + 9 per cent overall French), in the United Kingdom (+ 16,2 per cent in a market growing by 10,4 per cent) and in Spain ( + 19,4 percent compared to + 14,6 percent of the market).

In April there are almost 64 thousand registrations in Europe of the Fiat brand, for a share of 4,7 per cent. In the progressive annual the registrations of the brand are 271.800 and the share of 4,8 percent.

In addition to growth in Spain (+ 9 per cent) and the United Kingdom (+ 15 per cent) Fiat achieves excellent results in France, where sales are up by 28,9 per cent.

Once again, 500 and Panda are the two best-selling cars in the A segment, together with a share of the 28,4 percent for the quarter. 500 is the most sold ever, with over 16 thousand registrations in the month, the 6,7 percent more than a year ago. Equally positive is the result of 500 in the progressive annual, with 74.100 registrations, increasing 5,6 percent compared to the same period of 2017.

The Panda is the second best-selling car in the A segment with almost 12.300 registrations in the month and 58.200 in the year.

Also worthy of note are the results of the Tipo (before its category in Italy and which is approaching the top positions in the C segment) in Europe, of the 500X (whose sales in the month grow by 22,1 per cent compared to a year ago) and of the 500L, once again among the three best-selling cars in its category with a share in the month close to 20 per cent. Finally, a positive month for the Punto, which increases sales by 10,2 percent.

Lancia / Chrysler in April registered 4.400 cars, for a stable share of 0,3 per cent. In the first four months of the year 18.100 are registered Lances, again with a percentage of 0,3 per cent.

In Italy, the only nation where the brand is marketed, Lancia Ypsilon continues to be appreciated: it is the fifth best-selling car ever and is at the top positions in the B segment.

April positive for Alfa Romeo, with 7.800 registrations, the 6,3 percent more than last year, for a stable share of 0,6 per cent.

In the first four months of the year the Alfa Romeo registered are almost 32.700, the 13,2 percent more than the first quarter of the 2017, for a share of 0,6 percent increasing 0,1 percentage points.

For the brand, positive results in April in Italy (sales up by 11 per cent with a percentage of 2,6 per cent increasing 0,1 percentage points), in France (+ 6,8 per cent) and in the United Kingdom (+ 14,7 per cent ).

Among the models, the results obtained by Stelvio and Giulia must obviously be reported. The first increases significantly the registrations (over 10.500 in the four months) and once again in Italy is the first in its segment with a share of 14,4 per cent in April. Giulia is confirmed as a highly appreciated car in the D segment: almost 6.900 registrations in Europe while in Italy it is among the best-selling in the category with a share of 14,1 per cent in April.

The Jeep brand in April records over 14.400 cars, the 75 percent more in comparison with last year, and a share of 1,1 percent, up 0,4 percentage points.

In the first four months of the 2018 the Jeeps registered are almost 56 thousand, 58 percent more in comparison with the 2017, with a share of 1 percent compared to the 0,6 percent a year ago.

In April, Jeep grows in all major European markets: Italy (+ 124,5 percent), Germany (+ 0,8 percent), France (+ 36 percent), the United Kingdom (+ 31 percent) and Spain (+ 102,5 percent) ).

Also in April Renegade is steadily in the top ten of its segment, with a share of 4,85 percent with an increase in registrations compared to last year's 3,3 percent.

The result of Compass is also positive, constantly growing with over 24.900 registrations in the quarter: in Italy it is the most sold in its segment with the 12,2 per cent share.

The Maserati luxury brand registered the 684 cars in April and 3.021 in the quarter.
