Today, at 20,30 in Piazza del Viminale - on the day on which the 168th anniversary of the Corps of Public Security Guards born on 11 July 1852 occurs - there will be a ceremony with the participation of the State Police Musical Band that it will have the theme "thank you on behalf of everyone" and will be dedicated to all workers in the health sector who, in these difficult months, have worked with extraordinary commitment. During the evening the victims of the pandemic will be remembered and the title of policeman ad honorem will be assigned to a doctor and a nurse.
The ceremony will take place in the presence of the Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese and the Mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi. The Chief of Police - General Director of Public Security Franco Gabrielli will address a greeting address at the opening.
The rules dictated by the Covid-19 emergency have unfortunately imposed particularly rigorous organizational procedures, so access to Piazza del Viminale will be allowed only to the authorities and invited guests, without exception. There are therefore no press accreditations.
