An F50 of the 31 ° Stormo has concluded a medical transport from Alghero to Ciampino

In the late morning of the 30 March a F50 of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino has carried out an emergency intervention for the transport of a patient of a single month in imminent danger of life.

The F50 took off, late in the morning, from the Sardinian airport, where he boarded the patient and a medical team, and after about an hour's flight landed at Ciampino Airport. From the Roman airport, the little patient was transported to the Bambino Gesù hospital to receive the planned treatment.

The request was received at the Sala Situazioni di Vertex of the Air Squadron Command from the Prefecture of Sassari. Indeed, the Situation Hall of Vertice, in coordination with the Prefectures present throughout the national territory, is responsible for the management of missions of this kind in favor of the community.

Missions of this type require operational readiness. The Air Force's aircraft are available to citizens every single day of the year, with vehicles and crews capable of operating in complex weather conditions, ensuring the urgent transport not only of people in imminent danger of life and medical teams, as a success today for the little patient, but also for organs and ambulances.
