Purchased by ENEL 132 MW of wind capacity in Spain

Enel has signed an agreement for the acquisition of five wind farms in operation, for a total capacity of approximately 132 mw, for 178 million euros, through Enel green power España (Egpe), the renewable energy company of the subsidiary Endesa.

Following the closing of the transaction, expected by the first half of 2018, the installed capacity of Egpe in Spain will exceed 1.806 mw. In a note, the company explained that it plans to acquire 100% of Parques eolicos gestinver, a company that owns five wind farms from Spanish companies Elawan energy and Genera Avante in the regions of Galicia and Catalonia.

Antonio Cammisecra, head of Enel green power, explains: “consolidates our return to the expansion process of renewables in Spain, after the two important tenders won last year. These high quality plants are already operational and we look forward to further improving their performance by integrating them into our Group activities and into our maintenance system and energy sales strategy ”.

The wind farms located in the province of Lugo, in Galicia, are Farrapa (20 mw), Peña Revolta (14 mw) and Pousadoiro (23,5 mw), for a total capacity of about 57,5 mw. The plants in the Catalan province of Tarragona are Les Forques (30 mw) and Montargull (44 mw), for a total capacity of 74 mw. All plants have a load factor that exceeds 28%.
