Twitter changes face: more videos, news and agreements with major world publishers

Walt Disney, MTV, NBC and other large publishers will produce video, live, news and entertainment content for Twitter. The announcement came during the '2018 Digital Content NewFronts' event held in New York. On that occasion, around thirty new agreements were communicated with shows, televisions, magazines, to convey content on the Twitter platform, especially videos. In this way, Twitter hopes to attract new users and increase advertising revenues. Disney's ESPN network will release a Twitter version of its SportsCenter TV show, featuring news and analytics; and live streaming of the “Fantasy Focus Live” podcast will be made. In addition to Disney / ESPN, deals have been closed with NBCUniversal, Viacom, Vice Media and Will Packer Media. After analyzing the conversations on its platform with respect to some topics, Twitter has decided to bring on board more content in this regard. This is the case of the women's rights movement that has coagulated around the hashtag #HereWeAre, on which content such as HuffPost, Vox Media and Buzzfeed will carry.
