Abi: the national bilateral commission is operational

The national bilateral commission set up by the Abi-Sindacati Agreement on commercial policies and work organization of 8 February 2017 will be set up and operational, with which it will further contribute to directing, fostering and monitoring its implementation.
With this spirit of sharing and collaboration, the Parties met yesterday in Rome confirming the priority of a consistent application of the Agreement throughout the banking sector.
In particular, the importance of ethical values to inspire the relationships between the banking world, the staff and the clientele was reiterated with conviction: values and principles that the Agreement puts at the base of the reaffirmed centrality of the banking sector in the support of the economy of the country and to protect savings, in the interest of families, businesses and territories.
In fact, the Agreement identifies actions and behaviors to promote the development of balanced commercial policies, respectful of the dignity of workers, the needs of customers and the needs of competitiveness of banking companies.
In the light of the 8 February 2017 Agreement and the 17 October 2017 Regulations, the Commission is responsible for:

  1. acquire information, disseminate good practices and possibly implement joint initiatives on commercial policies, information, training and communication, incentive systems;
  2. Interacting with the bilateral commissions or bodies of comparison established at the company or group level;
  3. initiate a common action to increase the degree of knowledge and awareness of the provisions on the subjects covered by the 8 February 2017 Agreement, focusing in particular on the dissemination of ethical and responsible financial culture, on information, training and communication , on active listening, on the company climate, on moments of dialogue and on ways of monitoring and disseminating good practices, in a priority of prevention;
  4. draw up an annual report relating to its activities and to the cases examined, with the aforementioned objective of disseminating good practices;
  5. to agree on criteria and methods for launching a sectoral climate survey through third parties with proven experience and qualifications, the results of which will be analyzed by the Commission itself;
  6. carry out comparative moments when significant issues arise relating to significant cases of a general nature and not related to individual cases â € "to be presented in aggregate and anonymous form â €" that have not been resolved in the company or group offices to the application of the 8 February 2017 Agreement.
    At the end of the meeting it was also established that the first meeting of the National Commission will be held immediately after the Epiphany. On this occasion, activities will be launched to acquire information on incentive systems and to carry out a sectoral climate survey through the identification of a third party.
    The National Parties will review each other after two months for an initial verification of the Commission's operations.
