Afghanistan, small CIA teams hunt for telecoms

The New York Times wrote today that in Afghanistan small CIA teams, specialized in operating in extreme environments, are carrying out deep actions in search of telebans in the most inaccessible areas of the territory. The news was reported by two senior intelligence officials American. Previously in Afghanistan the local military was helped in training and in intelligence operations, now it is no longer enough. Since President Trump has decided to concentrate greater efforts in Afghanistan, Mike Pompeo, director of the CIA, has reinforced the presence of agents and above all changed the rules of engagement. These small CIA teams would be hunting telebans dedicated to the manufacture and placement of IED devices. Their job is to neutralize them before they can take action against the coalition military. Senior officials say there will be no place for the Telebans to hide, they will be tracked down and neutralized.
