LND - Lombardy Regional Committee, Eni gas and electricity and CORUS have entered into an agreement to promote the energy requalification and enhancement of the structures owned or conceded to Lombard sports clubs affiliated to the National Amateur League. The signed agreement pursues the strategic objective of giving concrete support and a practical contribution to the world of amateur football and therefore to the sports clubs of the region committed to enhancing the young athletes and young athletes who run on the playing fields every day.
The opportunity to carry out the energy requalification interventions of the structures will allow sports clubs to pursue effective energy savings through the construction of high-tech LED lighting systems with the Energy Performance Contract (EPC) formula of Eni gas and light as Energy Service Company (ESCO) and made by CORUS, a company specialized in the creation of lighting solutions especially in the sports sector. The solution adopted provides for the payment of the expenses incurred by Eni gas and electricity to be made over time by the sports club by sharing a portion of the energy savings that the intervention generates compared to a similar system that uses traditional technologies. Furthermore, thanks to the Legislative Decree 34/2020 (Relaunch Decree) which extends the Superbonus 110% advantages also to sports clubs, CORUS will carry out energy redevelopment interventions on the buildings used as changing rooms through the CoatMio service of Eni gas and electricity with the possibility, in particular, to sell the tax credits deriving from the interventions to Eni gas and electricity itself.

"Redeveloping sports facilities will allow companies to better grow athletes and female athletes in state-of-the-art facilities, thus contributing to pursuing the energy transition and decarbonisation objectives that our country has set itself".
Carlo Alberto Bonalumi, General Manager of Corus srl, also confirmed the importance of the agreement, highlighting "the desire to intervene and make us protagonists by making our facilities, certifications and qualifications available to support the sports clubs affiliated with LND - Lombardy Regional Committee for the design and subsequent implementation of innovative solutions for the energy efficiency of plants. CORUS will strive to win together an ambitious challenge that contributes to a concrete renewal and improvement of the world of football in Lombardy. "
With this initiative, Eni gas and light further supports Eni's commitment alongside sport, in line with the values and projects of growth and inclusion that characterize the game of football. Eni is in fact Top Partner of all 19 national teams of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) until the end of 2022 and supports a series of sporting and cultural initiatives with the Regional Committee of the LND Basilicata through the project "Our football with Eni ”renewed until the end of 2021.
