The initiative as part of the Ministry-RAI collaboration

Starting February 7, 2022, the new TV program Laboratorio Scuola, a journey into the Italy of educational innovation, made up of stories from the bottom, collected in the schools of the country and supported by the contribution of experts. The series, divided into 20 episodes, is produced by Rai Scuola in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, and features teachers, students, students and schools from North to South.

The episodes, each lasting 30 minutes, will be broadcast on Rai Scuola (channel 146), from Monday to Friday, at 11.00 and 15.00. They will then all be available on RaiPlay to be reviewed and used in schools.

From debate, to robotics, from virtual laboratories, to flipped classrooms, from videogames used for teaching, to new educational software: these are some of the topics addressed. Milan, Rome, Turin, Naples, Ancona, passing through Anagni, Bassano del Grappa, Belluno, Bobbio, Busto Arsizio, Carpi, Caivano, Civitavecchia, Foligno, Gallarate, Gravina di Puglia, Modena, Parma, Potenza Sarzana and Varese: these are the cities touched by the 'journey' in Italian schools and didactic innovation. An organic path, also designed to accompany specific training and updating initiatives for the teaching staff and to enhance the most effective methodologies and strategies that can be used in a context of progressive overcoming of the emergency and in the school of restart.

The episodes are organized into ten chapters, each of which consists of two video lessons, one focused on the main theme and one on broadening and adapting the theme to different contexts and situations. On the Rai Scuola website there are also clips with the individual schools and the experts who contributed to the realization of the program: https://www.raiscuola.rai.it/percorsi/laboratorioscuola

Laboratorio Scuola is a production that is part of the collaboration between the Ministry of Education and RAI through which new programs have been proposed aimed at school institutions, female students, students, families, but also, in a broader sense, citizenship, which not only are they bringing the themes of knowledge on TV, but they aim to tell more and more and better what is happening in schools, how the world of education is evolving and what innovations are being born.
