The XNUMXth edition of "Una vita da social" is about to start

the itinerant educational campaign of the State Police and the Ministry of Education as part of the “Connected Generations” project. A tour with over 70 stops on the national territory on the themes of social networks and cyberbullying

The most important itinerant educational campaign carried out by the State Police and the Ministry of Education, as part of the Generations Connected project to raise awareness and prevent the risks and dangers of the Network for minors, starts from Gragnano Napoli.  

An initiative that, during the previous editions, has already garnered a great consensus: the operators of the Postal and Communications Police and the Regional School Offices of the Ministry of Education have involved over 2 million students both in the squares and in the schools , 220.000 parents, 125.00 teachers for a total of 17.000 schools, 400 cities reached in the area and two twitter and facebook pages with 127.000 likes and 12 million monthly users on online safety issues.

The new series of meetings started in Gragnano today in the presence of the Minister Patrizio Bianchi and the Chief of Police Lamberto Giannini.

Once again, the institutions have therefore taken the field alongside the school with only one major goal: to ensure that the phenomenon of cyberbullying and all forms of abuse related to the distorted use of technologies no longer cause victims.

The common goal is to prevent episodes of violence, harassment, defamation, harassment online, through a work of accountability regarding the use of the "word". From Naples to Palermo, Trapani, Catania, Reggio Calabria, Catanzaro, Cosenza, Potenza, Bari, Lecce, Matera, Campobasso, Cagliari, Sassari, Turin, Carrara, Sanremo (Imperia), Turin, Savona, Como, Milan, Brescia, Verona , Venice, Padua, Trento, Trieste, Florence, Livorno, Pistoia, Vicenza, Ferrara, Bologna, Perugia, Pesaro, Ancona, Pescara, Teramo, Rome, over 70 cities will be involved in the next stages, with a truck set up with a classroom multimedia teaching that will cross the country. The operators of the Postal Police and those of the Ministry of Education will meet students, parents and teachers to talk about online safety issues in simple but explicit language, suitable for all age groups.

To make the Internet a safer place, it is necessary to continue to spread a culture of online safety in order to offer students opportunities for reflection and education for a conscious use of digital tools.

"Una vita da social" is part of the European project Generazioni Connesse (www.generazioniconnesse.it) managed by the Ministry of Education, which also provides for the training of school staff on issues related to online security. recently allocated an additional 2 million euros in favor of initiatives to combat cyberbullying. On the dedicated site, materials and tools for schools are periodically inserted to support them in these activities.

And thanks to the Elisa Platform, www.piatresteelisa.it, almost 20 thousand teachers have already been trained on these topics.
