The eighth edition of the Abi payments exhibition is underway

What impact will new emerging trends in the global market have on the future of payments? And what new perspectives arise from technological and regulatory innovations: from the advent of the digital euro to the applications of artificial intelligence? From today until Thursday 24 November, institutions, banks, public administrations, sector operators, technology companies, Fintechs, startups and incubators will discuss these and other topics, giving rise to a rich program of meetings which includes over 80 sessions with more than 300 speakers. It is the eighth edition of the Payments Fair, promoted by ABI and organized by ABIEventi in Milan.

The three days of work were opened by the President of the ABI, Antonio Patuelli, who this morning participated in the plenary session "Hall with a view: dialogues for an intelligent future". With President Patuelli there will be Alessandra Perrazzelli, Deputy Director General of the Bank of Italy, and Luciano Floridi, Professor of Cognitive Sciences and Founding Director of the Digital Ethics Center at Yale University and Professor of Sociology of Culture and Communication Processes at the University from Bologna.

This year's show delves into eight thematic areas: "The future of global payments", "Artificial intelligence and payments", "Money becomes digital", "The shop of the future: phygital and integrated", "From and -commerce to m-commerce”, “Future consumers: new generations”, “Towards a sustainable and inclusive society”, “The Italian fintech and start up ecosystem”.

In addition to the usual exhibition spaces, with stands where you can experience the present and future of payment instruments first-hand, among the novelties of this eighth edition is the "Agorà of the future", a 3000 mXNUMX area entirely dedicated to the world of Fintech startups and scaleups.
