Valditara: "Commitment kept, now we will streamline the procedures for precarious workers"
"We have maintained our commitment to guarantee payment by August of the monthly salaries due to short and occasional substitute teachers, as well as that of ensuring the updating of the salaries of school administrators already with the September slip" declared Minister Giuseppe Valditara. "The strong commitment to intervene, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, to streamline and speed up the procedures for disbursing the salaries of the precarious staff of the School remains unaffected".
In fact, with the special issue of 18 August, the salaries of short and occasional substitute teachers were paid for over 173 contractual installments, corresponding to around 157 contracts and over 92 people with fixed-term employment contracts, as promised by the Minister on 12 August. A total of almost 121 million euros of resources were disbursed.
Furthermore, thanks to the commitment of the MIM and MEF offices, the Minister's commitment was maintained to guarantee, as early as the month of September, to 4.899 School Managers the update of the position allowance, a variable portion, according to the provisions from the national supplementary agreement. In fact, the amounts will already be paid with the September 2023 slip for school managers in constant office (about 70 percent). And this is an important change. The update of the new salary for positions started on 1 September will take place after registration by the Court of Auditors: work is underway to make this update possible with the October slip.
