Coaches in Serie A: how much the 2021-2022 championship changes

Someone has already said that this is a real waltz of the benches, as far as the 2021-2022 Serie A football championship is concerned. In fact, it had been a long time since all these innovations had occurred from one season to another, including almost all those of the top clubs involved in the fight for the top for the championship. The end date for the next season, which will take place on May 13, 22, will therefore start again on August 2022th and the end date for the next season has already been made official. We remind you that in 2022 there will also be the World Cup in Qatar, which will be played, however, extraordinarily at the turn of November and December. A World Cup under the tree, therefore, given that the final will be played (most likely) on 18 December 2022.

The endless waltz of benches for the top division championship

But first we need to rewind the tape, given that we are still in July 2021 and there is a lot to say about the bench waltz that involved some of the most prestigious clubs belonging to the top division championship. The first news is that only 8 out of 20 coaches have been confirmed. A record figure, but the most interesting and intriguing thing concerns the change made by some teams, with a rotation system from sliding doors. Aspects that will strengthen the booking discourse relating to odds series a as regards predictions, bets and statistics of the top division championship.

It starts with Sampdoria which focuses on coach Roberto D'Aversa. D'Aversa did well during the 2019-2020 season with his Parma, only to be confirmed during the following season, preferred to Fabio Liverani. The eight technicians confirmed at the helm of their team are currently Pioli at Milan, Ballardini at Genoa, Gasperini at Atalanta, Mihajlovic at Bologna, Gotti at Udinese. The two newly promoted technicians Zanetti for Venice and Castori for Salernitana have also been confirmed. Currently, keeping the coach who led the cadet teams in the top division is becoming an unwritten rule for the clubs, also given the good results that have been seen during the past seasons. Having said that, we need to comment on the choices made by top teams such as Inter, Rome, Lazio and Naples above all.

Juventus, Inter, Napoli: all the changes of Serie A technical guides

It is true that Juventus have also changed their coach, but in this particular case it is a return, given that Massimiliano Allegri after two seasons he returns to the helm of the Juventus team, after having left as a winner and as an absolute protagonist. Antonio Conte, who is no longer the Inter coach, leaves as a winner but only after two seasons. Coach Simone Inzaghi, who moved from Lazio to Inter, will sit in his place to defend the championship won last season. Lotito's Lazio instead relaunches Maurizio Sarri, who will therefore be the fourth team after Empoli, Napoli and Juventus, led by the Tuscan coach. Always remaining in the area and with a connection with different teams as a curriculum, we find Luciano Spalletti, the new coach of De Laurentiis's Napoli. Spalletti has always coached several teams in the top division, including Udinese, Rome and Inter in the 2017-2019 two-year period of rebirth. Yet the news does not end here, given that Roma with José Mourinho made a great blow especially at the media level. The situation is strange for Commisso's Fiorentina who, after having chosen Gennaro Gattuso, who practically never coached the team, has now turned to the good coach Vincenzo Italiano, protagonist of a very interesting season last year with the newly promoted Spezia. In short, the conditions for an interesting season and championship are all there.
