The future of payments at the eighth edition of the ABI Show

The eighth edition of the ABI Payments Exhibition will take place from 22nd to 24th November. The three-day event will be kicked off by the President of the ABI, Antonio Patuelli, who will open the plenary session dedicated to the theme "Salon with a view: dialogues for an intelligent future".

Among the themes at the center of this edition, the impact on the future of global payments of new trends emerging in the market and in the macroeconomic context. But also the new perspectives opened up by technological and regulatory innovations: from the advent of the digital euro to the opportunities and risks that the applications of artificial intelligence bring with them. In the background, open banking and open finance are indispensable enabling factors for the interconnection and interoperability of systems and technological platforms in the banking and financial world. On these and other topics, institutions, banks, public administrations, sector operators, businesses, technology companies, Fintechs, startups and incubators will discuss each other in the numerous debate and in-depth sessions which will comprise this year's show, promoted by ABI and organized by ABIEventi in Milan.

The 2023 edition: “Salon with a view”

This year too, the Show will take place at the Allianz Mico-Milano Congressi, making large exhibition spaces available to participants, with stands where they can experience first-hand all the latest innovations in terms of payment instruments, increasingly "smart", innovative and sustainable. New to this edition will be the "Agorà of the future", a 300 mXNUMX area entirely dedicated to the world of fintech startups and scaleups. The Agora of the future is a space available to those who operate on the frontier of innovation, designed to bring human and technological capital together.

The President of the ABI, Antonio Patuelli, will open the proceedings in a plenary session in which the Deputy Director General of the Bank of Italy, Alessandra Perrazzelli, will also speak.

Through 70 debate sessions with over 400 speakers, the conference will explore eight thematic areas: "The future of global payments", "Artificial intelligence and payments", "Money becomes digital", "The shop of the future: phygital and integrated”, “From e-commerce to m-commerce”, “Future consumers: new generations”, “Towards a sustainable and inclusive society”, “The Italian fintech and start-up ecosystem”.
