Armenia: Course on public order and management of major events

Cooperation between the State Police and the Police of the Republic of Armenia continues. The second training course dedicated to ten senior officials, including the three deputy commanders of the specialized departments, focused on aspects of public order and management of major events, ended yesterday. The activity was carried out by the international relations staff area of ​​the Chief of Police, in close synergy with the experts from the Public Order Office of the Department Secretariat, the Rome Police Headquarters and the "Public Order Protection Training Center (CFTOP )” of Neptune.

 On the final day, chaired by the Ministerial Adviser. for international relations, Senior Manager Eufemia Esposito, attended by Dr. Marieta Stepanian of the Armenian Embassy, ​​Dr. Francesco Rattà Vicar of the Police Headquarters of Rome and Dr. Giampietro Moscatelli of the Public Order Office of the Secretariat of the PS Department.

During the visit to the operational rooms of the Police Headquarters, the Armenian delegates appreciated the high technological system available to the State Police for emergency intervention and the management of demonstrations and large events but also noted the complexity of the activities of the Provincial Public Safety Authority.

The initiative developed in frontal teaching modules but also through the sharing of field activities. The Armenian colleagues, in fact, participated in the preparation of public order services for the Lazio - Bayern Munich football match and in the implementation of the related security checks, with particular focus on the techniques implemented by the State Police personnel. During the visit to the Nettuno Institute, they were able to delve deeper into the educational and technical aspects of the subject.

The Armenian delegation, characterized by a high professional profile, expressed, through Commanders Margaryan Gevorg, Mirzoyan Garik and Abrahamyan Baghdasar, considerable interest and gratitude for the entire path followed in Italy, which will allow them to adopt many of the good practices learned, also highlighting the importance of collaborative and networking relationships between Italian and Armenian colleagues and awarding Councilor Esposito with a high recognition from the Armenian Police.
